What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant, another occupant, or someone Tenant permitted seriously impairing the safety of any person, wilfully causing undue damage to the premises, committing an illegal act or carrying out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or residential complex.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $10,254.75 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage caused by the Tenant, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by September 8, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
