What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Tenants gave a notice to terminate the tenancy. The Tenants did not move out by the termination date set out in the notice.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlords and the Tenants is terminated. Provided the Tenants pay the monthly rent on or before the 7th day of each month for the remainder of the tenancy, the Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before October 31, 2021. The Tenants shall pay the Landlords $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by May 28, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding. If the unit is not vacated by October 31, 2021, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. If the Tenants fail to pay the monthly rent on or before the 7th day of any month, the tenancy shall be terminated on the 8th day of the month and the Landlords may file the order with the Sheriff.
