What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination effective September 16, 2021, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit on the application date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 19, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,704.67 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $201 in application fees, and $23.01 per day in compensation starting February 9, 2022 until the Tenant vacates. If the full amount is not paid by February 19, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
