What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to pay rent as per the mediated settlement issued on August 3, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 19, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,937.44, which includes rent arrears up to December 8, 2021 and the cost of the previous application. The Tenant must also pay $22.68 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting December 9, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 19, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
