What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The application was resolved by an order issued on October 20, 2021. The Landlord then requested a review of the order, alleging they were not reasonably able to participate in the hearing because they never received the Notice of Hearing.
The ruling
The previous order was cancelled and replaced. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $1,126.00 in rent arrears, less the last month's rent deposit, and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the full amount is not paid by January 30, 2022, the Tenants will start owing simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
