What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by his son.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2023. The Landlord must pay the Tenant $707.59, which includes the last month's rent deposit and interest, as well as one month's rent compensation. If the Landlord does not pay the full amount by January 25, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest.
