What happened
Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants were in possession of the rental unit and had not paid rent since December 15, 2020.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 7, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $19,119.56, which includes rent arrears up to August 27, 2021 and the application filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $88.77 per day for use of the unit from August 28, 2021 until they vacate. If the Tenants pay $27,186 on or before September 7, 2021, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
