What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 18, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $7,586 in rent arrears, plus $62.47 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting December 1, 2021 until the Tenants move out. If the full amount is not paid by January 18, 2022, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
