What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated on April 30, 2023 unless the Tenants pay $13,320.40 by March 31, 2023 or $14,889.00 by April 30, 2023 to void the order. If the tenancy is terminated, the Tenants must pay $10,321.56 to the Landlord, plus daily compensation of $51.57 starting March 4, 2023 until they vacate the unit.
