What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 31, 2023, and the Tenants must vacate the unit by that date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement starting April 1, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $9,423 for rent arrears and costs, with $3,000 due by February 15, 2023 and the remaining $6,423 due by March 31, 2023. If the Tenants fail to make the $3,000 payment, the Landlord may apply for a new eviction order. If the full $9,423 is not paid by March 31, 2023, the Tenants will owe 5% annual interest on the outstanding balance.
