What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in the order issued by the Board on January 6, 2021 with respect to application SOL-20664-21. The condition was that the Tenant was ordered not to tamper with the smoke alarm system for a period of one year, but the Tenant did tamper with the system on July 16 and 17, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before August 24, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced.
