What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants paid all arrears for the period ending December 31, 2020 after the application was filed. The only amount outstanding is the Landlord's cost of filing the application.

The ruling

The order is limited to costs only and not eviction. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by May 31, 2021, they will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
