What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay $200 towards arrears by October 20, 2022, and did not pay November 2022 rent on time.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by February 21, 2023. The Tenant is ordered to pay $9,568.00 to the Landlord for rent arrears up to February 10, 2023, plus $43.30 per day from February 11, 2023, until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 21, 2023, interest will be charged at 5% annually from February 22, 2023.
