What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous mediated settlement. The Tenants failed to pay $200 towards the rent arrears by the agreed upon date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 27, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $3,277.40 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) for rent arrears and the previous application fee, plus $46.65 per day for compensation for use of the unit from February 17, 2021 until the Tenants move out. If the full amount is not paid by February 27, 2021, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
