What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant, another occupant, or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, and wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the premises.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 23, 2021. The Tenant must move out by that date and pay the Landlord $1,600 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage, as well as $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 23, 2021, they will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
