What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the November 2020 rent by November 16, 2020, the December 2020 rent by December 10, 2020, and new rent as it comes due on time and in full for the period January 1, 2021 to October 31, 2021. If the Tenants fail to comply, the Landlord may apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants. The Tenants shall also pay the Landlord $190 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the $190 by November 30, 2020, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
