What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant had not paid rent from May 1, 2021 to August 31, 2021, and the Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective May 25, 2021. The Tenant paid all arrears after the application was filed, so the order was limited to the Landlord's application costs only and not eviction.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 10, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
