What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $1,689.74 on or before July 9, 2021 and a further $186.00 on or before August 31, 2021. If the full amount is not paid by August 31, 2021, the Tenants will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
