What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The N4 Notice served by the Landlord was found to be defective, so the application for an order for eviction could no longer proceed. The Landlord was allowed to continue the application for arrears alone.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $18,386.00, which includes rent arrears up to March 31, 2024 and the cost of the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 26, 2024, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 7.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
