What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent, persistent late payment of rent, and the Landlord's good faith requirement of the rental unit for personal use.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by June 27, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $6,204.10, which includes rent arrears and the application filing fee. If the full amount is not paid by June 27, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance starting June 28, 2023.
