What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the mediated settlement issued by the Board on April 23, 2020.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 24, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $10,134.70 (less any payment made after the application was filed), representing the rent owing up to July 6, 2020, the costs related to the previous application, and NSF fees, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $64.11 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting July 7, 2020 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 24, 2020, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
