What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant substantially interfering with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex where the Landlord resides. The Landlord claimed the Tenant's excessive noise has caused the Landlord distress and health issues.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 21, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $21.37 per day for use of the unit from August 25, 2021 until the Tenant moves out, as well as $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 21, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
