What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and not meeting conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenants failed to pay full rent for January 2023 by the due date, violating the conditions of the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and Tenants must vacate by April 7, 2023. Tenants are ordered to pay $4,191.07 plus $34.78 per day from March 28, 2023, until they move out. This amount covers rent arrears, previous order balance, and filing costs, minus the rent deposit and interest. If not paid by April 7, 2023, interest will accrue at 5% annually from April 8, 2023.
