The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by January 28, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $16,231.80 (less any payments made after the application was filed) for rent arrears up to January 17, 2023, and $31.40 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting January 18, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 28, 2023, they will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
