What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Landlord and Tenant had signed an N11 agreement to end the tenancy as of March 31, 2018, but the Tenant did not pay the full rent for the period from January 1, 2018 to March 31, 2018.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay to the Landlord $1,175.00, which represents the amount of rent owing up to March 31, 2018. The Tenant shall also pay to the Landlord $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before June 5, 2018, the Tenant will start to owe interest at a rate of 3.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
