What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a valid Notice of Termination, and the Tenant was in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing. The Tenant had not made any rent payments after the application was filed.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 15, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $9,992.25, plus $32.05 per day starting January 5, 2021 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant pays $10,915.00 on or before January 15, 2021, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
