The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $8,075.24 representing rent owing up to January 20, 2021, and $40.27 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting January 21, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 31, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
