What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite being properly served with notice. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $9,801.00 by October 31, 2022, or $10,601.00 by November 6, 2022. If not voided, the Tenant must vacate by November 6, 2022, and pay $9,316.60 plus $26.30 per day from October 13, 2022, until move-out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting November 7, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
