What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 13, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $9,864.90, which includes the outstanding rent arrears and costs from the previous order, plus $39.45 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting February 3, 2022 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 13, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest and the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
