What happened
Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to the Landlords' good faith need for personal use of the rental unit, as well as for non-payment of rent. The parties agreed to resolve the issues in both applications.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlords and Tenants is terminated. The Tenants must move out by June 30, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenants must pay $18,000 in rent arrears in installments, and if they fail to make any of the payments, the full balance becomes immediately due and the Landlords may apply for an eviction order.
