What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant seriously impairing the safety of others and wilfully causing undue damage to the rental unit by disconnecting the smoke detectors.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 1, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the application filing fee.
