What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant owed $2,521.22 in rent arrears and application filing fees. The Board considered the circumstances and postponed the eviction until February 21, 2022, to allow time for administrative requirements to provide the Tenant with a grant to pay outstanding arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 21, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amounts. The Tenant must pay $1,759.22 plus $29.36 per day starting January 25, 2022, for compensation. The Tenant has the option to void the eviction by paying $3,021.27 by January 31, 2022, or $3,914.36 by February 21, 2022. If payment is not made, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting February 22, 2022.
