What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (TNL-29301-20) issued on November 8, 2021. The Tenant failed to pay $2,000 towards arrears by January 1, 2022, as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 14, 2022. The Tenant must pay $10,996.97 to the Landlord, representing rent arrears up to February 3, 2022, less the rent deposit and interest. Additionally, the Tenant must pay $29.90 per day from February 4, 2022, until vacating the unit. If not paid by February 14, 2022, interest will accrue at 2% annually. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting February 15, 2022.
