What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not pay the rent owed for the period from May 1, 2021 to October 31, 2021, and the Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective May 24, 2021.

The ruling

The order is limited to costs only and not eviction. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $175.13 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 29, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
