What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 28, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $7,596.20 in rent arrears up to August 31, 2021, plus $37.76 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting September 1, 2021 until the move-out date. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 28, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance starting September 29, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by September 28, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction enforcement starting September 29, 2021.
