What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. Tenant Mandy Stellato was still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $9,582.59 to void the order by October 22, 2022. If the Tenants do not pay, they must move out by October 22, 2022 and pay $5,505.11 to the Landlord, plus daily compensation of $52.86 from September 15, 2022 until move-out.
