What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 11, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $9,755.84, which represents the rent arrears up to June 30, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $37.15 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting July 1, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 11, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting July 12, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by July 11, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
