What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay compensation for the damages caused by the Tenant or a person the Tenant permitted in the residential complex. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,994.50 for the reasonable costs of replacing and repairing the damaged property, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 24, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
