What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant did not pay the total rent owed for the period from April 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, resulting in the Landlord serving a Notice of Termination effective April 30, 2020.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 19, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $13,878.81 (less any payments made after the hearing) for rent arrears, NSF charges, application costs, and daily compensation starting January 9, 2021. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 19, 2021, the Landlord may file the order for enforcement.
