What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Landlords served a valid N4 Notice, which Tenants did not void by paying arrears. Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing but did not attend.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless Tenants void the order by paying $21,636.00 by December 19, 2022. If not voided, Tenants must vacate by December 19, 2022, and pay $15,464.58 plus $49.32 per day from September 29, 2022, until they move out. Tenants can make a one-time motion to void the order if they pay the full amount owing before the Sheriff enforces eviction.
