What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord's mother requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 29, 2022. Tenants must pay $14,547.06 for use of the unit from November 1, 2021 to January 18, 2022, plus $184.14 per day from January 19, 2022 until they move out. If not vacated by January 29, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
