What happened

Landlords applied for an order to require Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants stopped paying rent effective January 2020 and vacated the unit on February 7, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlords $493.40, which represents the rent owed from January 1, 2020 to February 7, 2020, minus the last month's rent deposit and interest on the deposit. The Tenants are also ordered to pay the $190 application fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by June 6, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
