What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants had paid all arrears for the period ending August 31, 2021 after the application was filed, and the only amount outstanding was a fraction of the Landlord's cost of filing the application.

The ruling

The order is limited to costs only and not eviction. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $68.40 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by August 30, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
