What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy of the Tenant and evict the Unauthorized Occupant after the Tenant's death. The Landlord contacted the Unauthorized Occupant to enter into a new lease agreement, but she declined. The Landlord then filed an application with the Board to terminate the tenancy and remove the Unauthorized Occupant.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant was terminated as of July 18, 2020. The Unauthorized Occupant shall move out of the rental unit on or before May 15, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by May 15, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
