What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not void the N4 Notice by paying the arrears. A payment plan was agreed upon during the hearing, but there was a miscalculation in the total amount owed.
The ruling
The Board ordered a payment plan for the Tenant to pay $13,646.30 in rent arrears and application costs. The plan includes an initial payment of $4,500.00 by October 5, 2022, followed by monthly payments of $500.00 from October 20, 2022, to March 20, 2024, with a final payment of $146.30 on April 20, 2024. The Tenant must also pay ongoing rent on time. If the Tenant fails to make any payment, the Landlord can apply for eviction within 30 days of the breach.
