What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant seriously impairing the safety of other persons by constantly removing the smoke detectors in the rental unit.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 4, 2021. The Tenant must move out by that date and pay the Landlord $1,672.08, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application fee, and interest if the amount is not paid by the due date. If the Tenant does not vacate by October 4, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
