What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 21, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $536.00 for rent arrears and NSF cheque charges, plus $3.78 per day in compensation starting December 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 21, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
