What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants failed to pay rent for the period from February 1, 2021, to January 31, 2022. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 17, 2021. The Tenants did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 8, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying the specified amounts. Tenants must pay $16,010.00 plus $38.86 per day starting January 29, 2022, for arrears and compensation. If full payment is not made by February 8, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
