What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to the Tenant, Maryam Haji-Esmaeil, pulling the fire alarm when there was no fire on April 22, 2022, and forcing open the locked electrical closet door and starting a small fire on April 29, 2022.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit by September 30, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for expedited enforcement. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application.
