What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The Tenants did not pay the rent arrears as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 3, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $18,646.80, which represents the rent arrears less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $75.62 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting April 23, 2021 until they vacate. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by May 3, 2021, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
